Just arrived to Indonesia, our first stop is in Bogor to visit its beautiful Botanical Garden.
Kebun Raya (big garden) was builted after indipendence in 1817 by Indonesian themselves, helped by Mr Reinwardt a botanical professor and the Kew Garden of London.
It extends for 87 ha, the city grows around it in an explosion of trees and hanging vegetation. It is beautiful.
Inside the Big garden there are few *glasshouse* of course there is no glass as here temperature goes normally around 25~30 degrees
A very important collection is about orchids: wild Indonesian, American, Brasilian, ...
